NotelineAI
Privacy Policy
NotelineAI (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the NotelineAI mobile app and website. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: June 24, 2026
1. Who we are
NotelineAI is a personal knowledge assistant that lets you upload notes and PDFs, organize a private library, and ask questions with answers grounded in your materials. Our Android app package name is com.ganeshkasture.neuronoteai.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at privacy@notelineai.com (or support@notelineai.com).
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication identifiers through our identity provider (Supabase Auth). You may optionally set a display name and avatar in your profile.
Content you provide
- Text notes and PDF files you upload to your library
- Chat messages and questions you send in the app
- Flashcards generated from your documents (if you use that feature)
- Chat titles and conversation history stored for your account
Uploaded content is processed to create searchable embeddings so the assistant can answer from your materials. We do not use your private library to train public foundation models.
Usage and device data
- Query counts and feature usage (for plan limits and product analytics)
- App version, device type, and operating system
- Crash or error logs when something fails in the app or API
- Approximate timestamps of uploads, queries, and sign-in events
Website waitlist
If you join the waitlist on notelineai.com, we store the email (and optional name) you submit in our Supabase database to notify you about product updates.
Subscriptions and payments
Purchases are processed by Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. We receive subscription status and entitlement information (for example, whether you have Pro access). We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Advertising (free tier)
Free users may see ads served by Google Mobile Ads. Google may collect advertising identifiers and usage data according to its own policies. You can limit ad personalization in your device settings.
3. How we use information
- Provide core features: upload, search, chat, flashcards, and library management
- Authenticate you and enforce row-level security so only you can access your data
- Apply free-tier limits and unlock Pro features when you subscribe
- Improve reliability, fix bugs, and understand aggregate product usage
- Send service-related messages (for example, waitlist launch notice or critical account notices)
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse
4. AI processing
When you ask a question, relevant excerpts from your library may be sent to our backend and to AI model providers (such as OpenAI) to generate a grounded answer. Requests are scoped to your account and used to fulfill that query—not to build a shared training corpus from your private uploads.
Answers include source snippets when possible so you can verify them against your original materials.
5. Third-party services
We rely on trusted processors to run NotelineAI:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and row-level security
- Hostinger VPS — API at api.notelineai.com
- OpenAI (and similar model APIs) — generating answers from your retrieved content
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management
- Google Play & Google Mobile Ads — app distribution and advertising on Android
- Vercel (or similar) — hosting this marketing website and waitlist API
Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policies. We share only what is necessary to operate the service.
6. Data retention
We keep your account data and library content while your account is active. If you delete documents or chats in the app, corresponding records are removed from our systems subject to routine backups expiring on a rolling basis.
Waitlist emails are retained until you ask us to remove them or until they are no longer needed for launch communication.
7. Security
- HTTPS for API and website communication
- JWT-based authentication with Supabase
- Row-level security policies so users can only access their own rows
- Server-side rate limits and subscription checks on sensitive endpoints
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data with industry-standard practices.
8. Your choices and rights
- Access & correction — view and update profile fields in the app
- Deletion — delete individual notes, PDFs, and chats in the app; email us to request full account deletion
- Export — contact us if you need a copy of your uploaded content
- Marketing — waitlist emails are limited to launch/product updates; you can unsubscribe by replying or emailing us
- Subscriptions — manage or cancel through Google Play subscription settings
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws. Contact privacy@notelineai.com to exercise them.
9. Children
NotelineAI is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. By using NotelineAI, you understand your information may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data-protection laws, with safeguards appropriate to the processing.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this page as features or legal requirements change. We will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be communicated in-app or by email where appropriate.
